Heathens - Twenty One Pilots
Announced as part of DC's Suicide Squad soundtrack, this is Twenty One Pilots with Heathens. A dark and twisted song which emulates the movies dark underworld of DC's villains. This is definitely an amazing song to pick for the soundtrack. Twenty One Pilots can do no wrong in my eyes (or ears). Every track they make is incredible (Listen to their album Blurryface). Tyler's vocals are incredible as ever. I for one am also excited to see Suicide Squad. (Just hope it isn't a disappointment as BvS)
Are We Ready? (Wreck) - Two Door Cinema Club
Indie pop rockers Two Door Cinema Club have returned with infectious banger Are We Ready? (Wreck). This is going to be a tune for the summer with it's catchy guitar hook and upbeat drums. It is taken from the Irish bands third album Gameshow due out in the autumn. If you can't wait for that then you can catch them at UK festivals this summer including Reading & Leeds and Glastonbury (which starts this Friday).
Good Grief - Bastille
Another comeback this week and it's from Bastille. It's been 3 years since the band release debut album 'Bad Blood' and they are back with the follow up Wild World. Good Grief is the lead single from it. This dance infused hit is about break ups and losses but has a sense of feel good about it. Expect Wild Wood later this year.
So-Low - Shenna
New artist of the moment, Shenna with So Low. A mix between dance, pop and R&B, So Low is an empowering track about breaking up with someone and feeling stronger for going 'solo' So Low is lead single off Shenna's second album, Made of Gold due out later this year. She has been compared to the likes of Ariana Grande and Demi Lovato so expect big things from her.
Make You Mine - James George
Manchester's own James George releases his debut single Make You Mine. Has a flavour of Joy Division mixed with Jake Bugg. This indie rock song has a rocky intro with James' echoed vocals. The catchy chorus makes it a perfect sing-a-long track. James is set to release his debut album later this year. Follow @james_georgeuk for more album updates in the coming months.
